Código Roto (Broken Code)

In Esponda’s works, formalism has given way to intuition, and the sobriety of the canvas has become an exciting scenario where geometric shapes and reliefs produce unsuspected figures.
On this occasion, the artist proposes a multicultural tour where color takes us on a sensorial journey down memory lane, evoking visions of Pre-Columbian markets, Arabian tapestries and their ancient rituals and mystical geometries woven into the rugs of old Istanbul, while her oils and triptychs send us back to places, flavors and traditions that sunder the limits of time and space and have the ability to transport us to remote locations, some familiar, others yet to be discovered.
