Grill the chilies, set them in thin slices with a bunch of squash flower and corn kernels; sauté in lard...
This exhibition might well be called Carmen's Cookbook. Not only did the artist's mother inspire it through her recipe books, but in fact the main piece of the show is a recipe book printed in large format that Amador intervened using oils, wax and serigraphy.
Once again, Montes takes the path of everyday aesthetics to create an art series. This time round, he uses recipe books as an inspiration and an excuse to paint. In his works one can frequently find autobiographical elements, since he is aware of his own history and in need of conveying his memories through painting.
